All candidates new to the Catholic Schools OfficeÌýareÌýrequired to undergo a screening interview uponÌýregistration.ÌýÌý
What documents do I need to supply to teach casually?
- University or College official final transcript of Academic Results indicating eligibility forÌýthe awardÌý(undergraduate students please supplyÌýunofficial transcript)Ìý
- Most recent Practicum Report (minimum 20 days) and interim official academic transcriptÌý(undergraduate students only)Ìý
- Statement(s) of Service must be provided within a term of commencement. StatementsÌýare required to show:
a) Commencement dates and Termination dates (DD/MM/YYYY)
b) Whether service was Full Time/Part Time or Casual
c) For Part Time or Casual- detailsof hours/days worked
d) If any Leave Without Pay taken, details on the number of days without pay

Do I need a Parish Priest Reference?
SeniorÌýor executive positions in our schools are required to have a Parish PriestÌýreference.ÌýÌý
Leader of Learning Religion also requires a Parish Priest reference.Ìý
All employees are required to make a commitment to work alongside the Parish in which their school is situated.ÌýThis relationship commences through the recruitment process by a conversation with the parish leader.Ìý

I’m still at University, when can I commence Teaching?
To be considered toÌýteach casually with the Catholic Schools OfficeÌýits required that you:Ìý
- ObtainÌýaÌýteacher accreditation with NESA;Ìý
- Hold a valid employee WorkingÌýwithÌýChildren Check;Ìý
- Are in your final year of study of an accredited undergraduate or graduate entry teaching degree, with twenty (20) practical days recorded;Ìý
- Appropriately trained in Anaphylaxis.ÌýÌý
What is a Statement of Service and why do I need to supply one?
AÌýStatement of Service is theÌýofficialÌýrecord of your teaching service provided by aÌýrecognisedÌýschool.ÌýThis document providesÌýus with the necessary information neededÌýto determine your classification as a teacher under our Enterprise Agreement.Ìý
